Citizenship for benefactors of Athenian cleruchy on Lemnos

People decided. - son of
-ratos or -rates of Lamptrai proposed:
(5) concerning the statement of the generals
and the desire of the People [in Hephaistia] who despatched an embassy that
the awards (dōreai) to those
who have made benefactions
(10) and been of service be confirmed (kuriai),
for good fortune, the Council shall
decide: that the presiding committee (proedrous) allotted to preside for
the Assembly shall put the matter
(15) on the agenda and submit the opinion
of the Council to the
People, that it seems good to the Council to
praise - son of –antas
of Parion and his brother
(20) Stes- son of -antas
of Parion and –enes son of Antidotos
of Olynthos and Nikon son of
Nikodromos of S-, and to crown
each of them with a foliage crown
(25) for the excellence and good will
that they continue to have
for both the Athenian People
and the Athenians who live on
the island; and the awards
(30) granted to them by the People
in Heph[aistia] shall be confirmed;
and they shall enrol in the tribe and
deme and phratry that they wish;
and the prytany secretary
(35) shall inscribe this decree
on a stone stele
and stand it on the acropolis; and for the
inscription of the stele the administrator (ton epi tēi dioikēsei) shall allocate . . . four fragmentary lines . . .
