Honours for the prytany of Kekropis

Decree 1 In the archonship of Leochares (227/6), in the second
prytany, of KekropisVII, for which Theokrisios son of Pasion
of OionX was secretary. On the intercalary twenty-fifth (hekktei met' eikadas embolimōi) of the second (husterou) Hekatombaion, the thirty-
(5) first of the prytany. Assembly
in the theatre. Of the presiding committee Nikon
son of Nikon of Eroiadai was putting to the vote, and his fellow presiding committee members.
The People decided. Chares son of Eucharistos of Aphidna proposed: about what the prytany
(10) of KekropisVII report about the sacrifices which they made
before the Assemblies to Apollo
Prostaterios and Artemis Boulaia and
the other gods to whom it is traditional, for good fortune,
the People shall decide, to accept the good things
(15) that occurred in the sacrifices which they made for the health
and preservation of the Council and the People; and since
the prytany made all the sacrifices
that were proper in the prytany well and with love of honour,
and managed the convening
(20) of the Council and the Assembly and everything else
which the laws and decrees of the People require
of them; to praise the prytany of
Kekropis and crown them with a gold
crown according to the law for their piety
(25) towards the gods and their love of honour towards the Athenian Council and People; and the prytany secretary
shall inscribe this decree on a
stone stele and stand it in the
prytanikon; and for inscribing the stele
(30) the administrator (ton epi tei dioikēsei) shall allocate the expenditure accrued.
