Honours for Dionysios

. . . . . . of the Athenians, for good fortune, the Council shall decide,
that the presiding committee allotted for the forthcoming Assembly shall put these matters
on the agenda, and submit the opinion of the Council to the People that
it seems good to the Council to praise Dionysios son of Simi- of - and crown
(5) him with a foliage crown for his good will towards the People; and he shall be
proxenos and benefactor, both himself and his descendants, of the
Athenian People; and he shall have [right of ownership (egktēsin) of land . . . and of a house up to] 1,000 drachmas; and it shall be possible for him, on maintaining the same
preference for the People, to obtain further benefits, whatever he may be deemed worthy of; and
(10) the prytany secretary shall inscribe this decree on a stone
stele and stand it wherever . . . . . .
