Honorific decree
IG II3 1 400 Date: Ca. 350-339 BC
. . . the prytany secretary (grammatea ton kata prutaneian) shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele
and stand it on the acropolis; and for
(5) inscribing the stele the treasurer of the People shall give
[20 or 30] drachmas from the People’s fund
for expenditure on decrees, so that
[other officials?] may also show love of honour (philotimōntai), knowing
that the People gives thanks to whose who
(10) show love of honour (philotimoumenois) towards them.
