[In the archonship of Telokles (280/79), in the] tenth [prytany, of AkamantisVII, for which - son of - of - was] secretary. [On the nineteenth of] Elaphebolion,[1] [the twentieth of the prytany]. Principal Assembly. [Of the presiding committee Pyrgion son of Agatharchos] of Lamptrai [was putting to the vote and his (5) fellow presiding committee members. The People decided. Philippos son of] Astygenes of Thymaitadai [proposed: since the Athenians living on Lemnos declare that Komeas], the cavalry commander (hipparchon) [to Lemnos elected by the People], [has taken care of Lemnos well and with love of honour (philotimōs)] according to the responsibilities of [his office (tēn archēn), and declare that he continues on all] occasions (10) [to show foresight, so that the cities might be in harmony with] one another [and the citizens amongst themselves and live in peace] both in city [and country] . . . . . .
