[1] This marble plaque is part of a series of dedications by Athenian archons in the Cave of Apollo on the north face of the Athenian acropolis. For details, see IG II³ 4, 128. Nulton suggests that this inscription is a fragment of IG II³ 4, 175. [2] The dedicator's father Polybios also made a dedication in the Cave of Apollo, when he was polemarch in AD 101/2 (?) (IG II³ 4, 172).
