[1] The only text preserved are the three letters, "KŌN", from the end of a name or other word, running above a depiction in relief of men in comic masks (a comic chorus?). Three other small fragments of the same relief preserve parts of similar figures and a pipe-player. It is possible, therefore, that the dedication commemorated a choregic victory in comedy. The similar inscription, IG II³ 4, 505, raises the possibility that the comedy was staged at a celebration of the Rural Dionysia (cf. IG II³ 4, 498). For other similar depictions see S.
