The prytany of Aiantis dedicated (this) having been crowned by the Council and the People for its excellence (aretēs) and justice (dikaiosunēs) in the archonship of Antikles (325/4).^[1]

[1] This is a dedication of the prytany of Aiantis, which had been honoured for its service in its year in office, cf. IG I³ 515. The dedication, which has a cutting for a votive, will have been erected in the sanctuary of the tribal hero Aias, which he shared with Eurysakes and which was located in Melite, in or close to the Agora.
