Honours for the prytany of Aiantis

In the archonship of Euthios (283/2), in the twelfth
prytany, of AiantisXI, for which Nausimenes son of Nausikydes of
CholargosVII was secretary; on the old and new day (henei kai neai) of
(5) Skirophorion, the twenty-ninth of the prytany. Assembly.
Of the presiding committee - son of
-on of Athmonon was putting to the vote and his fellow presiding committee members. The People
decided. Kallias son of Lysimachos of Hermos proposed: concerning what the
the prytany of AiantisXI reports about the sacrifices (tōn hierōn) (10) which they made before the Assemblies . . . ,
for good fortune, the People shall decide: the People shall accept
the good things they declare occurred for
the health and preservation of the the Council and the Athenian
People; and since the prytany of Aiantis
(15) have performed their sacrifices well and with love of honour (philotimōs) and
have managed everything else for which they were responsible,
to praise the prytany of Aiantis for their
justice and love of honour (philotimias) for the People,
and to crown them with a gold crown according
(20) to the law; and the prytany secretary
shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele and
stand it in front of the Council chamber (pros tōi bouleutēriōi); and for inscribing
the stele the board of administrators (tous epi tēi dioikēsei) shall allocate
[10 drachmas].[1] . . .
