[1] This fragmentary rectangular marble base is a fourth-century choregic dedication commemorating a victory in the dithyrambic competition at the City Dionysia (cf. IG II³ 4, 460 with notes). The findspot of both fragments confirm that it commemorated a victory in the City Dionysia (single victorious tribe), rather than the Thargelia (two victorious tribes, cf. IG II³ 4, 475).
