Honours for the prytany of Antiochis

Decree 1 In the archonship of Eunikos (169/8), in the seventh prytany, of Oineis,
for which Hieronymos son of Boethos of Kephisia was secretary. On
the twenty-fifth (hektei met' eikadas) of Gamelion, the twenty-second of the prytany.
Assembly in the Piraeus. Of the presiding committee -
(5) son of Hermias of Apollonia was putting to the vote and his fellow presiding committee members. [The People] decided.
Xenokrates son of Xenokrates of Eleusis proposed: concerning what
the prytany of Antiochis reports about the sacrifices which they made
before the Assemblies to Apollo Prostaterios and to
Artemis Boulaia and to Phosphoros and to the other gods for whom
(10) it is customary, for good fortune, [the People] shall decide to welcome the good results
that have occurred in the sacrifices which they made for the health and preservation
of the Council and the People . . . . . .
Decree 2 . . . . . . have praised and crowned the treasurer, whom they chose from themselves,
(15) Chairippos of Amphitrope, and declare to the Council that he
has performed all the proper sacrifices . . . in the prytany on behalf of the Council and the
People, and has also taken care of everything else well and
with love of honour (philotimōs), for good fortune, [the Council] shall decide to praise the
(20) treasurer, Chairippos son of Theophilos of Amphitrope, and to praise also
the secretary Eudemos of Pallene and the priest of the
eponymous -sikles of Pallene and the secretary of the Council and
the People Archeneos of Kydathenaion and the undersecretary
-os of Halai and the herald of the Council and the People Philokles of
(25) Trinemeia and the pipe-player Kallikrates of Thorikos and the treasurer
of the Council Sostratos of Myrrhinous and to crown
each of them with a foliage crown; and the prytany secretary
shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele
and stand it in the prytanikon, and for the inscribing and
(30) the making of the stele the treasurer of the military fund shall defray
the accrued cost.
