[1] This is a columnar pillar monument which originally supported a statue (the cutting is visible on top and there are illegible traces of the original dedicatory inscription). It was later reused as an altar of Augustus (for other altars of Augustus at Athens see Agora XVIII 275 with notes and on Augustus and Athens, see SEG 29.168 with notes).
