Findspot: South of the Olympieion (Anapauseos Street, Mets) (Ag. I 7037)

Transliterations on Places on

[1] The absence of a patronym, demotic or ethnic, and the designation as "worthy" (chrestos) combine to make it likely that Apollonios was a slave or freedman (cf. K. Vlassopoulos ZPE 175, 2010, 114). Below the inscription is a relief amphora loutrophoros, denoting that the deceased died unmarried. On kioniskoi, see AIUK 3 (Fitzwilliam), no. 7, with notes.
