[1] Paidotribes (l. 2) was the title used for the trainer of ephebes. Cf. IG II³ 4, 329, RO 89, with notes. It has been suggested that this monument was dedicated to commemorate a victory in the Herakleia at Marathon (on which cf. IG I³ 3). The top of the monument shows two cavities: one rectangular for the insertion of a votive, the other concave for the offering of libations. The date of the monument is uncertain.
