[1] This statue base for the Emperor Hadrian (r. 117-138 AD) is known only from K. S. Pittakis L’ancienne Athènes (1835) 98. Pittakis says that the base was found in the Library of Hadrian, which is perhaps the stoa referred to in l. 2 (on the Library, see Paus. 1.18.9; M. Lagogiani-Georgakarakos and E. Papi, Hadrianvs – Αδριανός, 2018, 110-13). The epithet "Olympios" indicates a date after 128/9 AD and probably after the consecration of the Temple of Olympian Zeus in 132 AD.
