[1] This statue base for the Emperor Hadrian (r. 117-138 AD) seems to be known only from K. S. Pittakis L’ancienne Athènes (1835) 161, which records it twice. The nomenclature is irregular, as Hadrian was usually called "Trajan Hadrian". The epithet "Olympios" indicates a date after 128/9 AD, probably at or after the consecration of the Temple of Olympian Zeus in 132 AD (see IG II² 3290 with notes). No dedicator is named, which probably means that their name was lost when the inscription was recorded. A city, group, or individual is possible.
