[1] This statue of Vibia Aurelia Sabina, the youngest daughter of Marcus Aurelius, formed part of a statue group at Eleusis erected after her father’s death and deification in 180 AD (see I Eleusis 505 with notes). She was the longest-lived of Aurelius’ children, settling in the North African city of Thibilis with her consular husband Lucius Antistius Burrus and surviving (unlike him) into the reign of Septimius Severus (T. Corey Brennan, Sabina Augusta, 2015, 197). On top of the base, there are two holes for the feet of a bronze statue (right foot forward), a lewis hole, and trapezoidal cutting towards the front.
