Herm for Aelius Apollonios

IG II² 3764 Date: Ca. 217/8 AD

This man,^[1] born of dadouchs,^[2] and of a sacred mother^[3] who displayed the ceremonies (teletas) for the two goddesses^[4] by the temple (anaktora)^[5] of Deo, (5) Aelius Apollonios,^[1] renowned superintendent (kosmētora) of boys, was set up by his son of the same name,^[6] who was archon of ephebes.
