Sironen ZPE 136, 2001, 262 tentatively restores the Latin text as [divina stirpe progenito] | [d(omino) n(ostro) Fl(avio) Constantino] | [victoriosissimo et max]imo A[ugusto] ("[To the one born to the divine family], | [Our Lord Flavius Constantine], | [most victorious and Greatest] Augustus").

This statue base is part of a set of bases with Latin inscriptions erected in the Roman Agora for the emperor Constantine I (r. 307-337) and his heirs (see IG II² 5, 13269 with notes). E. Sironen ZPE 136, 2001, 262 identifies the honorand as Constantine because the title ‘Augustus’ is original, and he was the sole Augustus at the time when the group was erected.
