Honours for the prytany of Pandionis

Decree 1 (People) Gods. In the archonship of Lysanias (234/3), in the eleventh prytany, of AiantisXI, for which Eumelos son of Empedion of EuonymonIII was secretary. On the fourteenth of Thargelion, the fourteenth (5) of the prytany. Assembly. Of the presiding committee Euktaios son of Euktemon of Ptelea was putting to the vote and his fellow presiding committee members. The Council and People decided.[1] Demophanes son of Epizelos of Halai proposed: concerning what the prytany of PandionisV reports about the sacrifices which (10) they made before the Assemblies both to Apollo Prostaterios and to Artemis Boulaia, and to the other gods for whom it is traditional; and further they sacrificed to the Saviours (Sōtērsin)[2] on the appropriate days well and with love of honour (philotimōs), for good fortune, the People shall decide: to accept the good things that occurred (15) in the sacrifices they made for the health and preservation of the Council and the People [[and king Demetrios and queen Phthia and their descendants]]; and since the prytany of Pandionis performed all the sacrifices that were appropriate in the prytany well and with love of honour (philotimōs), (20) and further they managed the convening of the Council and People and everything else that the laws and decrees of the Council and People prescribed for them, to praise the prytany of Pandionis and to crown them with a gold crown according to the law for their piety to the gods (25) and their love of honour (philotimias) towards the Council and the Athenian People; and the prytany secretary shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele and stand it in the [prytanikon]; and for the inscription of the stele . . .
