worthily of their benefactions, for good
(20) fortune, the Council shall decide, that the
presiding committee allotted for the forthcoming Assembly
shall place these matters on the agenda, and submit
the opinion of the Council to the People,
that it seems good to the Council to praise
(25) Olympodoros [son of -] and Didymarchos son of Poly-
[- of Rhodes?], and crown each
of them with a [gold?] crown for their excellence and
[good will] towards the Athenian People;
and they shall be proxenoi and benefactors
(30) . . . according to the
laws; and on their showing love of honour
and [maintaining] the same preference, they shall be permitted
to obtain other benefits from the People,
whatever they may be deemed to be worthy of; and to invite
(35) them to hospitality in the city hall (prutaneion) tomorrow; [and in order that there may] be [a reminder (hupomnēma)] for them of the People's gratitude (eucharistias) . . . [shall inscribe this decree] . . . . . .
