Honours for -das of Cos

. . . the Athenian merchants (emporoi) and the
People in Samos and the others who
happen to be present, Athenians and
(5) others, declare that
-das of Cos takes care of both the [merchants (emporōn)] and the shippers (nauklērōn),
so that the greatest abundance of grain
sails in for the Athenian People,
(10) and that no
Athenian [suffers?] any [harm?],
but . . . is brought [safely?] to port,[1] and in other respects displays
his good will towards any Athenian who happens to be present, the Council
(15) shall resolve: that the presiding committee (proedrous) allotted to preside at the next
Assembly shall put the matter on the agenda . . . . . .
