In the archonship of Diokles (286/5), in the
eighth prytany, of LeontisVI, for which Xenophon
(5) son of Nikeas of HalaiIV was secretary.
On the nineteenth of Anthesterion,
the nineteenth of the prytany.
Assembly. Of the presiding committee
Polyeuktos son of Demetrios of -
(10) was putting to the vote and his fellow presiding committee members.
The People decided. Paramythos son of Polystratos
of Paiania proposed: since Habron
of - and Matrias of Nesos . . . of the People grain . . . (15) . . . necessity . . . . . . . . . for good fortune, the People
shall decide: to praise Habron of
- and Matrias of Nesos (20) and to crown each of them
with a gold crown according to the law
for the love of honour (philotimias) and good will which
they continue to have for the
Council and the Athenian People;
(25) and they shall be proxenoi of the
People; and they shall have right of ownership (egktēsin) of land
according to the laws, and a house; and the secretary of the People
shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele and stand it . . . . . .
