[1] The abbreviation ΠΡ, in ligature after the names in ll. 3-5, is taken here to be short for presbyteros, the “elder” (cf. IG II³ 4, 662). It has been suggested that it signifies the demotic of Probalinthos, but the inscription was not found in Probalinthos, but Acharnai. In any case this would seem to be a dedication by a cult group.
