[1] The inscription is on the top part of a relief plaque. The surviving portion of the relief shows the head of a male youth looking slightly to the right (the son mentioned in the inscription?) and the head of a snake to the right also looking right. The inscription indicates that this was a dedication to a medical deity. The presence of the snake suggests either Asklepios (in which case this relief would derive from the Asklepieion at Zea, on which see IG I³ 1081) or Zeus Meilichios (for other dedications of this god found in Piraeus, see IG II³ 4, 1277-1280, 1284, 1293, 1296).
