[1] This dedication comes from the sanctuary of Amynos, on which see (IG II³ 4, 902 with notes). It is a fragment from a marble basin (perirrhanterion), which was used by visitors to purify themselves before entering the sanctuary (for other inscribed examples, see Browse by monument type: Basin). It is possibly to be connected with a stone foundation plate located just to the left of the sanctuary’s gate.
