In the archonship of Hippias (181/0), in the twelfth prytany, of - ,
for which Theodosios son of Xenophantos of LamptraiI was secretary. On the
twenty-third (ogdoei met' eikadas) of Skirophorion, the twenty-fifth of the prytany.
(5) Principal Assembly (ekklēsia kuria) in the theatre. Of the presiding committee
Drakontides son of Lonikos of Aphidna was putting to the vote, and his fellow presiding committee members. The Council
and the People decided. Lakrates son of Mentor of Perithoidai proposed: since Klearchos
is well-disposed (eunous) collectively to the People, and individually
to citizens coming to E- . . . (10) and evidence of these things has been given by a number of the citizens,
and it is ancestral custom for the People [to honour good men];
for good fortune, the Council shall decide, that the presiding committee allotted to preside
at the forthcoming Assembly shall put these matters on the agenda, and submit
the opinion of the Council to the People that it seems good to the Council
(15) to praise Klearchos son of T of - , and crown him with a foliage
crown for his excellence and his good will (eunoias) towards the People
of the Athenians; and he shall also be granted citizenship, having been scrutinised in
the court in accordance with the law . . .
