[1] This inscribed base has a socket on the top for the insertion of a votive, most likely a statue of the infant Charito, to Eileithyia, goddess of childbirth. The inscription is ambiguous as to whether Charito is the name of Axiochos' wife and co-dedicator (in the nominative), or (more likely) the name of his infant daughter (in the accusative).
