Honours for commanders of the cavalry (hipparchs) and of the tribal contingents of cavalry (phylarchs)

. . . . . . and . . . . . . the Council and People; and to announce this
crown at the competition of the Great Dionysia; the
board of administrators (tous epi tei dioikēsei) shall manage the making of the crown
(5) and the announcement; and they shall have a front
row seat at all competitions that the city puts on; and
the prytany secretary shall inscribe
this decree and the names of the commanders of the cavalry (hipparchōn) and of the
tribal contingents of cavalry (phularchōn)[1] on a stone stele and stand it by the Herms; and for the
(10) inscription of the stele the board of administrators (tous epi tei dioikēsei) shall allocate
10 drachmas.
