[1] In I Rham. 32 Athenians stationed at Aphidna honoured Nikomachos of Paiania, general of the coastal countryside in 211/0 BC (archon Archelaos; for this generalship see I Rham. 3, with notes). L. 23 of that inscription mentions a dedication by him to Aphrodite Hegemone. There is a square socket in the upper surface, perhaps for a votive.
