[1] This funerary inscription is on the back of a measuring table (sekoma). The original table has four small holes in a line drilled through the marble and one larger depression below the middle two holes for measuring quantities of some product. There are several abrasions where parts of the original measuring table have been chiselled off during the repurposing: the upper parts of the holes, a long wall dividing off the section of the table above the holes, a circular object at bottom left, and a rectangular pen at bottom right. It was found to the west of the entrance to the Library of Hadrian in remains of Medieval or Early Modern date (A. Spetsieri-Choremi, Arch. Delt. 54, 1999, B 1 [2005], 65-66). The lettering might indicate a Hellenistic date, but this is highly uncertain (S. Byrne, Athenian Onomastion sv.).
