[1] This is the second-oldest dated prytany inscription, after IG I³ 515. Like other dedications of this type, it was probably erected in the tribal sanctuary of Antiochis, see IG II³ 4, 60 and IG II³ 4, 80 with notes. [2] The stone has a cutting in the top for a votive. The inscription will also have included a list of the names of the men who served as prytany members, but this is not preserved.
