[Since the] prytaneis [of Kekropis and those with perpetual dining rights (aeisitoi) in the archonship of - ], having praised [and crowned . . . ] . . . of the . . . . . . of Melite has [sacrificed all the proper sacrifices in the(?)] (5)[prytany to the gods which were traditional, on behalf of the prytaneis and the(?)] [Areopagos(?)] Council [and the Council of the 600 and the People of the Athenians(?)] [and the children and] women . . . ^[1]

[1] This is a prytany decree of the post-Sullan type, in which the Council permits the prytany and the aeisitoi ("those with perpetual dining rights," various magistrates and priests entitled ex officio to dine in the tholos every night) to make a dedication honouring their treasurer for successful completion of sacrifices on behalf of the community (see SEG 28.95 with notes). Sacrifices for the Areopagos (l. 6) are otherwise only encountered in Agora XV 322 (120s AD), which might indicate a date in the first or early second century AD, but the restoration is far from secure.
