[1] It is not known how this stele came to the British Museum. Only the upper part of the monument survives with a palmette finial and the right corner of a recessed panel that likely once held relief sculpture or a painted scene. Euetes is a rare name at Athens, but one further holder of the more common name Archidamos is found as a demesman of Paiania (IG II³ 4, 83, l. 6).
