The friendly society^[1] dedicated (this) to Zeus of Friendship (Philiōi)^[2] in the archonship of Hegesias (324/3).

[1] For dedications by “friendly societies” (eranistai) cf. IG II³ 4, 634 with n. 2. The recipient of the dedication is very appropriate to such a society. The inscription is on a stele which extends to the right below a relief depicting Zeus on a throne, with an eagle perched on the ground next to it, in front of an altar, by which is a (sacrificial) pig. [2] Zeus Philios was related to Zeus Meilichios. The two were worshipped together in the Piraeus (IG II³ 4, 1277-1296).
