[1] This herm was dedicated in the Asklepieion on the south slope of the Acropolis (on which, see IG II³ 4, 665). It commemorates paving work undertaken around the altar of the sanctuary by Demeterios as temple attendant (zakoros, cf. IG II³ 4, 794). Demetrios also dedicated IG II³ 4, 807 between 85/6 and 94/5 AD in connection with related work. This provides an approximate date for this inscription.
