[1] This base was dedicated in the sanctuary of Amynos, on which see (IG II³ 4, 902 with notes). The dedicator is perhaps the same man who manumitted a slave and served on the council in the late fourth century BC (Meyer, Metics, no. 16, l. 16; Agora XV 61, l. 126). There is a cutting on top for the insertion of a plinth that would have supported a small votive.
