The eleven occurrences of the name Kallistomachos at Athens are all citizens and date between ca. 100 BC and ca. 200 AD. This father and son sharing the same name are one of three such pairs from the single deme of Anaphlystos (modern Palaia Phokaia on the southwest coast of Attica) around the same period, some of whom may be the same people (I Délos 2607, l. 32 from the early first century BC and IG IV² 1, 82-84, l. 20 and 45-46 from the 40s AD (see E. C. Papoutsaki, Horos 17-21 (2004-2009), 243-244 = SEG 59.281).
