Honours for the prytany of Antiochis

In the archonship of Glaukippos (273/2), in the fourth prytany, of AntiochisXII, for which Euthoinos son of Euthykritos
of MyrrhinousV was secretary. On the penultimate day of Pyanopsion. Assembly.
Of the presiding committee -esilochos son of Kephisodotos of Piraeus was putting to the vote and his fellow presiding committee members.
The People decided. Euthymachos son of Euthippos of Xypete proposed: concerning what
5 the prytany of Antiochis reports about the sacrifices which they made, both those before the Assemblies
to Apollo Prostaterios and to the other gods to whom it is traditional; and they
sacrificed the Stenia to Demeter and Kore from their own resources on behalf of the Council
and the People, for good fortune, the People shall decide: to accept the good things
that they say occurred in the sacrifices which they made for the health and preservation of the
10 Council and the Athenian People and all others who are well disposed
to the People; and since the prytany made the appropriate sacrifices
well and with love of honour and managed all the other matters which
the laws and decrees of the People prescribe for them, to praise the prytany
of Antiochis and to crown them with a gold crown according to the law for
15 their piety to the gods and their love of honour to the Athenian People; and in order that they may sacrifice also the Chalkeia to Athena Archegetis
of the city and that the matters of the gods may be arranged finely and piously for the Council and
People, the People shall vote by show of hands on how much they should allocate for the administration
of the sacrifice; and the [treasurer of the military fund ] and the board of administrators
20 shall allocate whatever the People decide through their vote; and provision shall be available
from the Council’s fund for expenditure on decrees; and the prytany secretary
shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele and stand it in the
prytanikon; and for inscribing the stele for the board of administrators shall allocate
the expenditure accrued.
