[1] A number of funerary monuments discovered around the Kerameikos suggest the presence of a family tomb precinct that included Megiste here, the kioniskoi of her mother Ammia (IG II² 7658) and brother Ktesarchos (IG II² 7690), and the relief stele of Ktesarchos’ adopted son Kalliphanes (IG II² 7688), named after Ktesarchos’ father and husband of Ammia, which provides the date for the group.
