In the archonship of Hippias (181/0), [in the twelfth prytany (?), of -],
for which Theodosios son of Xenophantos of LamptraiI was secretary; on the eighteenth
[of Skirophorion?], the [twenty?]-first of the prytany.
[Principal?] Assembly in the theatre. Of the presiding committee - son of
(5) -rios of Kephale was putting to the vote, and his fellow presiding committee members. The Council and the
People decided. Polemaios son of Daitios of Hagnous proposed: since the men
elected by the People in charge of the revenues[1] for the year of the archonship of
Timesianax (182/1) . . . of the revenues and have restored (?) (apokatestakasin) . . . (10) [to the?] treasurer (tamiai) for the appointed banks (epi tas apodeichtheisas trapezas) (?) . . . [in order therefore that the] Council and the People may be seen to - foresight . . . of these, and that others too may give themselves more willingly, [knowing that] those who have managed the revenues in an honest (dikaiōs) and careful manner [have been crowned] by the Council and the People, for good fortune, the Council shall decide,
(15) that the presiding committee allotted for the forthcoming
Assembly shall put these matters on the agenda, and submit the opinion of the Council to
the People, that it seems good to the Council to praise the elected
men, and crown each of them with a gold crown in accordance
with the previous decrees; and to inscribe the names of them all
(20) according to their place of session (sunedrion) on two stone stelai and stand the one for
those elected in the city in front of the Council chamber in the city,
and the one for those elected for the Piraeus before the general’s office in the market.
The treasurer of the military fund, Philion, in the year of the archonship of Hippias (181/0), shall do this,
or he shall not be permitted to render his accounts, and for the making
(25) and the inscribing of both stelai he shall allocate the expense
accrued and enter it into the books.
