[1] This inscription, on a triangular base with figurative relief on one face, is known only from a transcript by Fauvel dated 31 October 1803. It is not clear if it originated on Melos (like the previous entry in Fauvel’s MS, IG XII 3, 1210) or in Attica, where Fauvel was French consul at this time.
