[1] On the deme Aixone and its inscriptions see Ackermann no. 1, with notes. This fragmentary base, which had the same origin as SEG 46.154, was plausibly interpreted by its editor, A. P. Matthaiou, Horos 10-12, 1992-1998, 143-4 no. 4, as a dedication to Demeter (Chloe?) or by someone whose nomenclature included the name Demet-. A sanctuary of Demeter Chloe is attested in this area by CGRN 57, l. 16.
