Transliterations on Places on

[1] This plaque honours Septimius Severus and Antoninus "Caracalla" who were co-emperors from 197 to 210 AD. The erasure in ll 7-8 probably contained the name of Caracalla's younger brother Geta, who was Caesar from 198 until he was promoted to co-emperor in 209. His name was removed following his murder and damnatio memoriae in 211 (see IG II³ 4, 1397 with notes), so we do not know whether this inscription dates before or after his promotion.
