Decree of Athenian soldiers in Rhamnous honouring Dikaiarchos
AIO 3453 Date: ca. 240 or 230 BC (?)
          . . . [towards the]  [Athenian People may show love of honour (philotimōntai) (?) knowing]  that they will receive thanks worthy of their benefactions, for good fortune, 
         the Athenian soldiers serving at Rhamnous shall decide: 
        (5)to praise Dikaiarchos son of Apollonios of Thria  and crown him with a foliage crown for his excellence and love of honour (philotimias)  towards themselves; and to inscribe this decree 
        on a stone stele and stand it in the theatre; and for 
        the inscribing of the stele the nom- shall make a proposal (?) (eisenenkein);
        (10) and also to elect three men from themselves to
        fund what has been decreed. These were elected: Leon son of Hagnon of Oa,
        Theodoros son of Nikonymos of Phlya, Glaukon son of Sosikrates  of Cholleidai.
