[1] This kioniskos in the British Museum was collected by Lord Elgin (cf. AIUK 4.1, no. 2). On this style of monument see no. 57, with notes. The man commemorated may be identical with (or a relation of) the Kallimachos son of Kallistratos of Aixone honoured as an ephebe in an Assembly decree from 197/6 BC (IG II³ 1, 1256, l. 95). There may also be a family link with the Kallistratos who is father of Thalia on another kioniskos from the Elgin collection (see AIUK 4.6, no. 61).
