[1] If the restoration of the chairman's name is correct, the decree was passed on the same day as IG II³ 1, 334 and 335. The rivals Lykourgos and Demades proposed inscribed decrees on the same day also in 332/1 BC (IG II³ 1, 345 and 346) and 328/7 BC (IG II³ 1, 357 and 358). [2] Diotimos was general in command of a naval squadron "for protection against pirates, according to the decree of the People, which Lykourgos of Boutadai and Aristonikos of Marathon proposed" (IG II² 1623, 276-285, 335/4 BC). Returning after a successful campaign, he was honoured on the proposal of Lykourgos in 334/3 BC ([Plut.] Lives of the Ten Orators 844a).
