[1] This inscription, cut in crude lettering, and more akin to an informal graffito than a formal dedication (the direct vocative invocation is very rare in formal dedications), would seem to be from the city sanctuary of Artemis Kolainis, whose precise location is unknown, and to which IG II³ 4, 1069 and perhaps 1104 also relate. A healing function for Artemis Kolainis seems implicit, as also perhaps, in different ways, in the other two dedications. Such a function is not apparent, however, in the dedications to this deity in Myrrhinous (IG II³ 4, 1099, 1103, cf. IG II² 1182, ll. 19-20, with note). Two seats for priests of Artemis Kolainis in the city theatre of Dionysos are also extant, IG II³ 4, 1907, 1976.
